The Belmond Royal Scotsman disabled access twin cabin is located in the Spa Car, which is the closest passenger car to the Observation and Dining Cars. See the Belmond Royal Scotsman plan here. The bathroom in the disabled access cabin is a 'wet room'. One of the twin beds folds away if not required, giving more floor space in the disabled access cabin. The corridor outside the disabled access cabin is wide enough for a full-size wheelchair, convenient for the Observation and Dining Cars. Please note that while the disabled access cabin is accessible to a full-size wheelchair, the rest of the train does not have disabled facilities. A regular wheelchair will not fit in the corridors outside the other passenger cabins. To assist Belmond Royal Scotsman disabled access, there is a customized wheelchair on-board in case of need. There is a ramp available for Belmond Royal Scotsman disabled access between platforms and the train via the train's main entrance. At some stations, this can be steep; train or station staff will assist as required. It is important to consider that the linking areas between carriages can be uneven and mobile, especially when the Royal Scotsman is moving.
