Here is an extract from a statement by Gary Franklin about Belmond British Pullman Covid Health Safety:

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wish to reassure you that your safety and well being are our highest priority. We have put careful new protocols in place, ensuring you can continue to enjoy the pleasures of your journey with confidence.

We’ve outlined the main procedures regarding your journey below.

New Reservations
New bookings made between 01 July 2020 and 30 September 2020 to depart on or before 31 December 2020 can be changed up to 35 days before departure date without charge.

Guests can choose a new departure date from the 2020 / 2021 schedules. Any deposit would be valid for the revised booking; subject to availability, a price difference may apply.

Any guest who feels unwell prior to travel can apply to re-book.

British Pullman Before Arrival / Check In

Face Masks

Please bring your own face covering or mask.

The UK Government's Department for Transport requires masks to be worn on board Belmond British Pullman, except for when eating and drinking.

Once seated at your table, you can remove the mask. Please wear your mask whenever you leave your table.

Temperature Check

Guests will have a contact-less temperature check on arrival at the Belmond British Pullman Lounge in London Victoria Station.

Anyone who does not complete the check will not be permitted to board the train.

Check In

Check in is at the Belmond British Pullman Lounge, next to platform 2, London Victoria Station. Here is a map of Victoria Station.

Belmond staff escort guests into the lounge for the temperature check before offering an invitation to board the British Pullman. Social distancing is observed.

Help line in an emergency open from 45 minutes prior to depart on departure day: Belmond British Pullman Reception, London Victoria Station, telephone +44 (0)20 7828 1429. Line closes when the train leaves.

On Board British Pullman

Steward

Personal carriage stewards will be on hand throughout the journey.

Cleanliness

Belmond British Pullman is uncompromising in its approach to cleanliness. They have collaborated with leading health and hygiene authorities to ensure guests, employees and community are protected. Enhanced protocols have been implemented, which will be constantly reviewed to guarantee even-higher standards are upheld.

Bathrooms

In each of the mosaic-tiled bathrooms, there is an ample supply of sanitiser, moisturiser and sterilised wipes.

Seating allocations are managed to ensure all parties are at a safe distance from one another.

Menus

The culinary team is on board to prepare seasonal dishes from a specially curated table d’hôte menu.

Dietary Requirements

Belmond British Pullman accommodates dietary requirements wherever possible (with the exclusion of diets of a strict religious nature). Guests must advise 5 days before departure of any specific needs.

Existing Reservations
Guests departing before 31 July 2020 can change or cancel without charge for a full refund.

Guests departing after 31 July 2020 can reschedule up to 35 days before the scheduled departure date without charge.

Summary - British Pullman Cleaning Practices

Dedicated In-house Expertise; Enhanced Protocols; Safe and Seamless Service; Partnering with Industry Leaders

Belmond has implemented a series of new cleaning protocols against Covid-19, such as for staff personal hygiene, removing unnecessary touch points, cleaning and disinfection and social distancing.

Belmond has done a full deep clean of all areas prior to re-opening.

Specific measures to protect against Covid-19 include:

- Removal and deep cleaning of all curtains, fabrics and cushions;

- Floors and hard surfaces disinfected against Covid-19;

- Carpets disinfected and seats steam cleaned;

- Belmond employees wear protective wear, including face covers and disposable gloves;

- Face covers are available for guests;

- Regular cleaning of all surface areas in operation enhanced with disinfectants to kill Covid-19;

- Safety management team ensures employees have regular training on these protocols

- Belmond has engaged a third-party specialist to ensure that standards are kept under review and validated;

- Protocols and procedures are subject to updates according with to health and industry authorities' guidance.
