Visa & Travel Permit
A pre-arranged visa is required before arrival in China. A Tibet Travel Permit is required for entry to Tibet. Tangula will advise on procedures.
Altitude Preparation
The Beijing-Lhasa route crosses the Tibetan Plateau at a maximum altitude of 5,068 metres. Guests are advised to consult a medical doctor before travel. The on-board Tangula oxygen generation system provides an oxygen-enriched atmosphere. A specially-trained physician travels onboard between Golmud and Lhasa.
