The Palace On Wheels
Fay says,”The Palace on Wheels was India’s first luxury train in the post-Raj era, and continues to offer fine service in the classic Indian style.”
Covering some of India’s greatest tourist destinations, the Palace on Wheels leaves from Delhi and takes in Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Agra (home of the Taj Mahal).
Travelling on the famed Palace on Wheels is one of the most memorable ways to explore India’s stately splendour. The carriages have been refurbished as the original saloons of the Maharajas.
Enjoy international cuisine, relax in the library, mingle with other guests at the bar, or retreat into the extensive cabins and watch the tapestry of the Rajasthan country side unfold aboard this luxurious train.
The efficient traditional liveried staff take care of everything one can think of, from accommodation, food, organized guided tours to shopping; there is nothing that the travelers should worry about when they are in a royal journey onboard The Palace on Wheels.
The Palace on Wheels travels to the pink Rajasthan state capital Jaipur, the golden citadel Jaisalmer, the blue city of Jodhpur, the National Park Ramthambhor, the symbol of chivalry Chittorgarh, the romantic city of the lakes Udaipur, the bird sanctuary Bharatpur and the Mughal capital Agra with the Taj Mahal , one of the seven wonders of the world.
