The Pullman Orient Express has developed from the original train created in 1883 by Compagnie des Wagons-Lits. The train is classified by the French Government as an "Historic Monument" and is therefore rightly considered a national treasure.

You could find yourself seated in the same spot as Greta Garbo or Theodore Roosevelt.

The Pullman Orient Express is one of the few trains still operating today much as it did over a hundred years ago.

It has preserved its authenticity in a quintessentially French way by the magical combination of travel, luxury, the art of living.

The carriages have been completely renovated to the highest standard to mirror the opulence of the 1920s train.

Fine dining by Lenôtre is based on the menus for the first trains, and is silver-served by stewards in accurate copies of the original uniforms.

The Pullman Orient Express has 7 carriages built in the 1920s.

The carriages used to be in prestigious luxury express trains, the pride of European railways and are named after their 'parent' trains: "Taurus", "Anatolie", "Riviera Express", "Côte d'Azur Pullman Express", "Train Bleu", "Flèche d'Or" and "Etoile du Nord".

Taurus
Taurus's open layout as a classic dining car provides an ideal ambiance for convivial evenings.

Anatolie
The flexibility of the Pullman Orient Express is clearly demonstrated here by Anatolie, set for a private party of ten guests.

Riviera Express
The Riviera Express was a favourite of wealthy holiday makers in the 1930s. here Riviera provides fine dining on the move.
Côte d'Azur Pullman Express
Grace Kelly was one of the Côte d'Azur train's most elegant habituées. This bar car provides a natural gathering place for animated traveling.

Train Bleu
The décor of Train Bleu is quite extraordinary; the marquetry includes silver 'fruits' set off against highly polished mahogany.

The piano and bar are of course very much appreciated by guests and musicians.

Flèche d'Or
The classic elegance of the Fleche d'Or is both timeless and of its time; the ultimate in modern style in the late 1920s is still fresh today.

The glass inserts are original Lalique.

Etoile du Nord
Etoile du Nord's striking décor and the fine food would have enlivened the journey across northern France in the early 20th century.

The same effect can be enjoyed in the 21st century.
